Saint Anthony Catholic School has been involved in Community Programs throughout the years since its establishment. This school year, 2020-2021, SACS will be taking a more prominent role in contributing to this effort. As part of the Catholic Formation, the SACS students will take an active role in relating to the “needs of the community” and the “less fortunate and most vulnerable” within our communities. Programs that assist in these endeavors will be a focal mission of our ministry program - The Miracles of Mercy.
This “Miracles of Mercy”program will be spearheaded by the Campus Ministry and will be tethered to the “Seven Virtues” such as Temperance, Charity, Patience, Humility, Kindness, Faith, and Hope. The SACS Schoolwide Learner Outcome endeavors to nurture students to aspire to be Respectful, Devoted to Faith, and Informed Citizens among other outcomes in an effort to broaden their community experience. A few projects recommended for this school year will include:
o Feeding the hungry and homeless through the Parish initiatives
o Clothes and food Drive
o Visiting the sick and aging at Mercy Care, Hospitals and Saint Dominic’s during holidays
o Participating in the annual December 8 Catholic Observance of our Lady of Camarin festivities.
o Participate in all religious activities associated with the Co-Patron Parish of Saint Anthony of Padua and Saint Pope Victor of Veres
Through this program, SACS hopes to interest and nurture a sense of Volunteer part of their social skills as a well-rounded student.
