The vocation of the Catholic educator is a call from God that challenges teachers to be for all  learners/students something that is both simple and idealistic, yet something practical and full of hope.  This is the heart of educational excellence.

The teacher is devoted to the mission of educating young people. For their students, the teacher is the  image of Jesus the Teacher. In other words, the teacher is challenged to teach as Jesus did. As such, the  call to be a teacher is a call to a vocation; it is a vocation requiring excellence in all areas of school life,  including that of a role model for students.
